Green Star Reports Fire At Biodiesel Refinery
Green Star Products reported that it experienced a fire at their biodiesel refinery located in Bakersfield, California. The fire took place last Friday evening, February 17, 2006, and was caused by a small methanol spill that ignited. It caused a total loss of the refinery.
The company is laying the groundwork for future plants, and stated that they have already received offers from interested parties. They stated their personnel would immediately begin fabricating components for a new plant. In addition, they will be reassigning some staff to work on blending and bottling of their TVT 24-7 synthetic lubricant product.
