Five Minutes With Peter van Stolk of Jones Soda
Yesterday, we mentioned our concern about Jennifer Cue’s departure from Jones Soda - she filled several important positions at the company.
We got in touch with Peter van Stolk, Jones’ President and CEO. After speaking with him, we feel a lot more comfortable with what is going on. Here’s our take on it.
Ms. Cue has been with the company for approximately ten years. In that time, it has (obviously) grown quite a bit. She is leaving the company for personal reasons and her departure is on good terms.
Though she will be missed, everyone at Jones Soda is happy for Jennifer. The company has seen a lot of growth in recent years, and filling her shoes will be rough. At this stage, we think the company may find separate executives to fill the roles of CFO and COO.
Mr. van Stolk’s passion for his work was obvious from the go. We appreciate him taking the time out of his busy day to speak with us.

Did he mention whether they would be able to complete financial filings timely ie… no delays?

Sorry, but that didn’t come up in the discussion. The main focus was the personnel shift in the company.
