Nestle USA to Participate in Electric City VNPP
Electric City recently announced that Nestle USA will be participating in their “Virtual Negawatt Power Plan”.
The agreement initially covers Baby Ruth® and Butterfinger® manufacturing and distribution centers located in Franklin Park and DeKalb, Illinois. The project is expected to include the installation of six to ten EnergySaver(TM) systems.

A number of companies have signed onto this project over the past few months. Unfortunately, the company has yet to turn a profit as a result.
I am keeping an eye on it, though, because I really think they’re doing some neat stuff. I just wish it were a little more profitable.
This is good news for the company, though, and just one more reason to keep my eye on it. Though they are a tiny company, Electric City has gotten some big name companies on board. According to the press release, Nestle is “the largest large-scale multinational company that has chosen to join Electric City’s flagship Virtual ‘Negawatt’ Power Plan.
