Milk: The New Sugar-Sweetened Beverage?
A few weeks old, I know, but I just stumbled on an article in South Coast Today about flavored milk products.
The article explains that the food and beverage industry is growing its bottled milk business because, as one parent said, they would give their child “any milk he likes”.
It also mentions that Pepsi is hot on their tail.
Nissan To Participate in Electric City VNPP
Electric City has announced that Nissan North America will be participating in the ComEd 50 MegaWatt Virtual “Negawatt” Power Plan.
Under the terms of the Agreement, Electric City expects to install several EnergySaver(TM) systems at the Aurora Distribution Center. As a result, Nissan will receive free steady state energy savings and remote control over their lighting systems while helping to improve the environment and assisting the local electric utility, ComEd, on peak demand days.

Jones Soda has announced a fundraising campaign to further diabetes research.
It will raise a minimum of $25,000 for the American Diabetes Association, and $5000 for the Canadian Diabetes Association.
To support the important missions of the American Diabetes Association and the Canadian Diabetes Association, Jones Soda is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of its Sugar-Free Jones Soda product line to ADA and CDA. The program will be promoted through special customized labels on the five Sugar-Free flavors: Sugar-Free Root Beer, Sugar-Free Black Cherry, Sugar-Free Cream Soda, Sugar-Free Ginger Ale and Sugar-Free Pink Grapefruit. The labels will include ADA and CDA logos and special mentions about the effort.
